Ellie von Bark is a gorgeous 14 month old German Shepherd. She's a picture perfect girl with a lovely personality. No wonder between a volunteer and someone on the shelter staff from a county shelter in Bakersfield, we found two extra dogs in the transport to Westside and two more dogs able to live out their lives. Both dogs are phenomenal, Ramsey was one who is already adopted and Ellie will soon follow.

She has good social skills and meets new people well. She has a medium energy level. Ellie has leash/heel training, but needs a refresher with her commands. She appears to be housebroken because she waits to get out of the kennel to potty. She takes treats gently; she can be touched on her neck, face, paws, rump and tail without a problem. Ellie seems like a well rounded girl with a good solid temperament. The volunteers had her out with a male German Shepherd and she was fine. She was very interested in chasing some birds she saw. Ellie is a girl with nice manners, not pushy and doesn’t jump on you. She is just waiting for one more lucky break!
